Rajasthan Royals after edging Delhi Capitals with two balls to spare, in their second league match of the tournament, have jumped onto the fifth spot of IPL 2021 points table.

DC who started the game with the second position on the points table has shifted to fourth place as their Net Run Rate (NRR) went down after their loss against RR on Thursday.

Getting benefit from DC’s loss, defending champion Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings gained second and third positions respectively. However, Royal Challengers Bangalore continued to lead the points table after their consecutive wins in the first two matches.

Kolkata Knight Riders have won one of their two matches and placed sixth on the points table while Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings are yet to come out from the bottom of the table, they are placed on seventh and eighth spot respectively.

Orange Cap Holder

RR skipper, Sanju Samson missed the chance to top the batting chart as he got dismissed cheaply on 4 runs against DC. However, KKR’s Nitish Rana continues to lead the orange cap title after scoring 137 in his first two matches. 

DC openers, Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw did not have an impact on the list as they failed to perform against RR. DC skipper Rishabh Pant enters the top 10 list after scoring a brilliantly combined half-century in the match, with a total of 66 in two matches.  

Purple Cap Holder

DC pacer, Avesh Khan occupied the third position on the highest wicket-takers list with consistent inspiring performance. He now has 5 wickets in two matches. His mate, Chris Woakes has jumped to the fifth spot, with a total of four wickets in two matches. 

Harshal Patel from RCB tops the list with 7 wickets in two matches. RR pacer, Jaydev Unandkat who has played his first game and picked up three wickets, climbed to the seventh spot above Pat Cummins and Trent Boult.
