Biography:

Shikhar Dhawan is one of the most talented Indian cricket players who represent the country in international cricket. He also plays first-class cricket for Delhi on the domestic level. Dhawan is also an essential part of the Delhi Capitals team in the Indian Premier League.

He is a left-handed opening batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler. Dhawan is mostly known for a consistent and aggressive style of batting, mainly in the ICC tournaments. In the 2015 ICC World Cup, he was the leading run-scorer from India.

With his unique mustache, he is also called as “Gabbar” among his teammates. Shikhar started his cricketing career with the Under-16 squad of Delhi in 1999, Vijay Merchant Trophy. He got selected in the Under-17 Asia Cup for India with his great performance in these two seasons.

Due to his brilliant performances, he became the star of Indian Domestic level cricket at a very young age. In 2008, Dhawan made his IPL debut with Delhi Daredevils. He is one of the most significant players in the squad of Delhi Capitals, formerly known as Delhi Daredevils.
