Biography
Ishan Kishan is one of the most emerging young players hail from the state of Jharkhand. In a short period, the young player has managed to grab attention all-around, and the fans are expecting him to make a debut in the national team.
Kishan made his first-class debut by playing for Jharkhand in December 2014. In the same year, he attracted the eyeballs of the selectors by scoring a hundred and five fifties in his debut Ranji season. His first claim to fame came in 2016 when he was appointed as the U-19 Indian team captain for the U-19 world cup held in Dhaka. Under his captaincy, the team made it to the finals and finished the tournament as a runner-up. Ishan drew praise from many personalities of the cricket world for his captaincy skills.
In 2016, Gujrat Lions bought Ishan for Rs. 35 lakhs and played for the franchise for two seasons. In 2018, Mumbai Indians picked up the young player for a whopping amount of Rs. 5.5. crores. Ishan played 14 games in 2018 and seven in 2019. The franchise is expecting a great performance in IPL 2020 from the aggressive batsman.
Kishan’s father, Pranav Kumar Pandey, is a builder and his mother is a homemaker. His brother, Raj Kishan, supported Ishan to pursue a career in cricket.
