Battle for the final match

The trio for today; Marcus Stoinis, Kagiso Rabada and Shikhar Dhawan put an entertaining show and helped their team in confirming their place in final Vs Mumbai on Tuesday.

Batting first, DC put 189 runs on the board with the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs. Shikhar Dhawan, Hetmyer and Marcus Stoinis backed DC in putting up this huge total. DC limited SRH to 172/8 in 20 overs while chasing. Kagiso Rabada was a pivotal help in defending the score and DC confirmed their place in the final for the first time.

The skipper of DC, Shreyas Iyer, won the toss and elected to bat. They made two changes; Hetmyerand Dubey replaced Daniel Sams and Prithvi Shaw respectively. SRH played the same 11.

Shikhar Dhawan and Marcus Stoinis opened the innings with an idea started. The duo put a powerful show in the final game that put their opponents in a helpless situation. Shikhar Dhawan hit all over the ground in his classical way and Marcus Stoinis joined him in the cause.

The pair put a reckless 89 runs partnership until Rashid Khan came and bowled Marcus Stoinis with a slight variation. The skipper joins Shikhar Dhawan after the loss of Marcus Stoinis.

DC scores 100 plus in 10 overs with a tremendous half-century of Shikhar Dhawan. Shreyas Iyer struggled in the start and he kept playing dot balls until he lost his wicket in the 13th over.

Shimron Hetmyer joins Shikhar Dhawan and they played watchful innings. Hetmyer smoked everyone along with Shikhar Dhawan. They took the score to 182 in the final over when Shikhar Dhawan lost his wicket and Rishabh Pant played the last over to make a total of 183 runs with the loss of 3 wickets.

DC started well in the first over after scoring 12 runs. Kagiso Rabada strikes on the very first ball with a great inswinging yorker that bowled David Warner. Obviously, that was something SRH was not hoping for.

Stoinis strikes in the 5th over and removes Priyam Garg and Manish Pandey. Kane Williamson and Jason Holder took the responsibility to chase this huge target. Williamson and Holder moved the scorecard to 95 in the 12th over until Axar Patel struck and took the wicket of Holder.

Abdul Samad and Williamson took the innings from that critical position. Williamson proved his experience by taking all the responsibility and kept the scorecard moving. SRH needed 51 runs in 4 overs by the end of 16 overs.

There was a match-turning moment in the 17th overs as Stoinis removed Williamson to change the match completely towards their side. Rashid Khan along with Abdul Samad bring hope for SRH and they need 30 runs in 2 overs with Rashid Khan hitting some great strokes.

Rabada turned the match totally after striking three wickets in the 19th over. He proved himself a big player of the big-match game. The story was closed as DC could only score the total of 172 runs in the final over.
