Former Australia captain and the current skipper of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 team Sunrisers Hyderabad, David Warner, on Wednesday completed 300 T20 cricket matches when he took the field for his team against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Match No 7 of the ongoing IPL 14 tournament.

Warner has now become the fifth Australian cricketer ever to play 300 or more T20 cricket matches after veteran player Daniel Christian (348) who is also making a comeback to IPL this year with Royal Challengers Bangalore, former Australia vice captain Shane Watson (343) who was a member of the Chennai Super Kings team until last year.

Australia T20 captain Aaron Finch with 319 matches and veteran all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, who is also a member of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team this year in IPL 2021, with 307 matches are also the member of the 300 T20 matches club.

Warner, so far in his T20 career which began in 2007, has played for teams such as Australia, Australia A, Delhi Daredevils, Durham, Middlesex, New South Wales, Northern Districts, St Lucia stars, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Sydney sixers, Sydney thunder and Sylhet Sixers.

The aggressive left-handed batsman Warner, who is currently the full-time captain of the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise, had led them to the ultimate success in form of an IPL title in the year 2016. He is one of the most sought-after and highly-regarded play across formats.
