Domingo took a swipe at the board by uncovering a lot of outside clamors to keep his energizes from developing and insisted that the players are shouted at in the dressing room.

BCB recently dropped Domingo from the T20 set-up after his prolonged lean patch, winning only two matches from the 13 games they played after the ICC T20 World Cup with one being washed away, and picked to give the responsibility to recently named T20 technical director Sridharan Sriram until the upcoming World Cup.

“Who does this (screaming at the players) and why doesn’t he come up with names? How is it possible to scream at a player? He said cricket director and it could be me because he did not mention team director (Khaled Mahmud) and I feel he wanted to say team director,”

BCB cricket operation chairman Jalal Yunus told Cricbuzz on Tuesday.

“Whatever he said he shouldn’t have said because no one is authorized to talk to the team management. Can the players say which board officials scolded them because there is no possibility so who he meant I’m not clear. We always asked the coach that as most of the players is from ODIs and hardly there are two to three T20 specialists, we just asked him to transform those (ODI players) so that they can have a T20 approach.”

Jalal added that the board will converge and take a decision on the allegations made by Domingo.

“He is still our contracted coach and that is the reason he cannot talk like that against the board or any officials. We will discuss it among ourselves because we have seen it today and after discussing it with our president and others we will take a decision but we will look into it.

“I feel a letter needs to be issued to him to know what he meant because if he clarifies then we can understand where he is having a problem. This is not like any show cause letter but we would like to know and I can say further only after discussing,”

he added.

BCB technical director Khaled Mahmud earlier publicly said that Domingo’s way of thinking didn’t exactly measure up for them in the shortest format, while BCB cricket operations chairman Jalal Yunus said that he lacked aggression.
