The director of the tournament in Vienna, Herwig Straka, criticized Novak Djokovic for his words about the lack of motivation in the match with Lorenzo Sonego (2:6, 1:6).

In his interview, he shared his impressions about this situation.

“These kinds of statements seem unacceptable to me. Even if you really think so, you shouldn’t talk about this at a press conference,”

said Straka.

Herwig also positively assesses the chances of holding the Australian Open on expected dates.

“Perhaps all tournaments will be held in Melbourne (Victoria). The chances of holding the ATP Cup are 50/50, but the Australian Open will definitely take place.”
