Biography:
Isuru Udana is a Sri Lankan cricket player who usually represents his country in limited over formats. Currently, he plays domestic cricket for Tamil Union and for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL. He is a left-arm pace bowler, but Isuru evolved as an all-rounder in 2018.
He made his List A and first-class debut against South Africa in 2008. Udana represented the team “Tamil Union” during the 2008-2009 season. Then, he got enrolled by Wayamba to play cricket for both T20 and first-class in Sri Lanka Provincial Cricket Tournament.
He showcased great performance in the entire tournament, and in the finals, he took four wickets for just 31 runs. He was awarded as the “Man of the Match” and the “Player of the Tournament.” Udana evolved his all-rounder talent in 2012 during the Sri Lankan Premier League, where he took several crucial wickets.
In 2013, Royal Challengers Bangalore bought Isuru Udana for around 50 lakhs. Virat Kohli was impressed by his death bowling skills, as he was searching for that kind of bowler in the past few years.
