The team got off to a strong start in the FA League Cup, defeating Aston Villa to reach the 1/8 finals of the trophy.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have made excellent progress in the English league. After seven rounds, the Pensioners have five victories and one draw, bringing them 16 points and the sole leader position for the first time since May 2017. Brentford have started the new season well, but morale alone will not get them far. Chelsea are in the lead, which gives the Pensioners no margin for error today. In our opinion, everything will fall into place today. The visitors are more powerful than the Bees on all fronts and can get their three points entirely through class, the support of the capital city fans and a huge tournament motivation.

The statistics of face-to-face meetings, the class of performers and the budget are on Chelsea’s side. In addition, the team have serious experience of playing at the highest level. We think the visitors can take away three points, and they’ll do it with confidence.
