BGMI Masters Series Lan Event: Full schedule and format of BattleGrounds India Masters Series

The biggest esports event of the year, Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series has commenced and is already making waves across the country. The Nodwin BGMI Masters Series began on 24th June. The tournament will see the top 24 BGMI teams competing for the title, along with a massive prize pool of Rs 1.5 crore. 

Fans across India can enjoy this enticing esports tournament live on Star Sports 2 from June 24 to July 17, 8:00 PM to 11.30 PM in Hindi, Tamil, and English.

BGMI Masters Series Lan Event creates history as it becomes the first esports tournament that is being broadcasted live on an Indian sports channel. It’s certainly setting a benchmark for bigger and better technological innovations in the Indian gaming space. 

The esports sector in India has propelled the gaming industry to new heights in the past few years, especially since the pandemic. The increasing fascination from the millennial and Gen-Z audience has further raised the stakes and generated added interest in the sector.

BGMI Format

Take a look at the format and schedule of Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series 2022 below: 

Opening Week 1 (June 24-26, 2022):

• 24 Teams to be divided into three groups to compete against each other in a round-robin format. All groups will play a set of 12 matches.

Week 2 Qualifiers (June 27– 30, 2022):

• 24 Teams to be divided into three groups to compete against each other in a round-robin format. All groups will play a set of 12 matches. The top 16 teams will qualify for Weekly finals.

Week 2 Finals (July 1– 3, 2022):

• 16 teams to play a total of 12 matches over a period of three days.

Week 3 Qualifiers (July 4-7, 2022):

• 24 Teams to be divided into three groups to compete against each other in a round-robin format. All groups will play a set of 12 matches. The top 16 teams will qualify for Weekly finals.

Week 3 Finals (July 8–10, 2022):

• 16 teams to play a total of 12 matches over a period of three days.

The top 16 teams with the highest weekly finals cumulative points (including opening week points) will qualify for the Grand Finals.

Week 4 Grand Finals (July 13-17, 2022):

• The top 16 teams to play 20 matches over a period of five days.

BGMI Masters Series 2022 on TV and live streaming

The ongoing Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series 2022 will be telecast live on television, on the Star Sports 2 channel, on matchdays from 8 PM until 11.30 PM.

However, those who are keen to watch esports tournaments on their mobile phones can watch the LAN event on LOCO and Glance Live.

To watch the series on LOCO, BGMI fans with Android devices must first download the app from Google Play Store. They must then head to Nodwin Gaming’s channel to enjoy watching the livestream.
