Third best active heavyweight Anthony Joshua has become the richest British boxer. He got ahead of 3-times champion Lennox Lewis, who hung up the gloves in 2003.

Joshua’s net worth surpassed £100 million

Anthony’s company Sparta Promotions published a financial report for the period from February 2019 to December 2020. According to the document, the boxer made £57.35 million from fighting and £6.55 million – from endorsements, marketing and sponsorship. As a result, Joshua’s overall assets amounted to £109 million. Lennox Lewis’ net worth is estimated at £90 million. American Floyd Mayweather Jr. tops the list of the world’s wealthiest boxers. His assets are around £435 million. Anthony definitely has a chance to catch up with Money, because he recently turned 31.

Boxing promoter Bob Arum confirmed that Joshua’s next opponent would be Tyson Fury. The sportsmen are supposed to sign a contract for the bout after their managers sort out several issues. Bob and AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn refused to provide the details regarding the deal. However, Joshua and Tyson will reportedly earn £100 million each for the fight.

AJ suffered the first career loss in 2019. He dropped a TKO to Andy Ruiz Jr. and lost the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO and IBO titles. Nevertheless, Joshua took revenge in a rematch and got his gold back. Last year, the British defended the belts against Kubrat Pulev. 32-year-old Tyson Fury amassed a record of 30-0-1. Gypsy King took on Deontay Wilder for the second time in February 2020. He knocked his rival out and won the WBC and The Ring titles.
