World number eight Andrei Rublev, winner of ten ATP Tour tournaments, and equipment maker Head have announced a contract signing.

On the official Instagram account, equipment manufacturer Head posted a photo of the Russian player with a racquet and captioned it as follows:

“It’s official! Please join us in welcoming ATP world number 8 Andrei Rublev to team Head.”

In the same post, the Head noted that Andrei Rublev has won the most matches in 2021, eight ATP singles titles, and accentuated he’s only 23 but has a bright future ahead of him.

Rublev is believed to have been playing with Head racquets for almost two years now. In 2019 in Cincinnati, he played with the Wilson racquets, with which he had a previous contract and unbranded racquets with a black frame. Later, Rublev only used these unbranded racquets.

The Monte Carlo Masters is the first tournament where the Russian No.2 officially plays with Head Gravity.

“Now we know the secret of success,”

commented on the news of the signing, Alexander Zverev, who also works with Head.
