Manuel Onwu spent his initial years at Club Atlético Valtierrano and CD Tudelano, with his debut coming for the latter in 2006. Onwu then played for Osasuna in the Spanish top tier, La Liga, and had a brief stint with Georgian outfit, FC Dinamo Tbilisi. He returned to his homeland in 2016, turning out for several clubs in the second division of Spanish football. The forward signed for Bengaluru FC ahead of the ISL 2019-20 season. The Spaniard joined Odisha FC on loan in January, and was a revelation for the side, scoring seven goals and bagging two assists in 10 matches. After joining the club permanently, he will look to continue his fine run in the side.
