Pakistan’s newly-appointed bowling coach Shaun Tait is looking forward to helping the Pakistani pacers to perform well under pressure.

Former Australia pacer Shaun Tait has been called upon the Australia series as a bowling coach for Pakistan.

Tait was ready to join the Pakistan team from the start of the historic series between Australia and Pakistan but was unable due to the death of his father.

“I joined the squad late for the Australian series but due to the wonderful dressing room environment faced no difficulty,”

Tait said during a virtual media conference.

The 39-year old earned a warm welcome on his arrival and adjusted to the environment without any barrier.

“I received a warm welcome. Pakistan is full of fast bowling talent. I am excited to work with talented young pacers in Pakistan. I will try to prepare them physically and mentally to perform better under pressure,”

Tait added.

Shaun Tait appraised Shaheen Afridi as “one of the world’s most dangerous bowlers” and is looking forward to improving the skill set of the left-arm pacer.

“Shaheen Shah Afridi is one the most dangerous bowlers when he is fit and in action with all his skills. I will try to prepare him physically and mentally for future challenges.”

Tait stated.

According to Tait, aggression is the beauty of fast bowling, and the right-arm pacer was known as one of the fierce and aggressive fast bowlers during his career.

“I have played aggressive cricket in my career. I want to see the same passion and aggression in the Pakistani bowlers.”

Tait added.

Shaun Tait has been engaging in the coaching role after his retirement, and the Pakistan cricket team is his most recent project.

“I joined coaching after my retirement with the mindset to stay connected to the game and help other cricketers,”

Tait stated.

Shaun Tait was delighted to be part of the Pakistan cricket team and was excited to work with the talented Pakistani young fast bowlers.

“It is a proud moment to get a chance to work with the Pakistani bowlers. Karachi Test did not favor the fast bowlers from both teams. Such situation occurs in Test Cricket,”

Tait concluded.
