EuroLeague’s decision about bubble and calendar changes announced

The EuroLeague and domestic leagues representatives discussed possible changes related to the coronavirus pandemic. Domestic leagues of participant countries agreed to continue the season without a bubble or schedule changes.

Participants’ health protection is the primary objective

The EuroLeague organized a video conference with 11 domestic leagues representatives to discuss the current coronavirus situation in participant countries. Since recently several matches were rescheduled, calendar changes and the possibility of continuing the season in a bubble were the main topics.
After examining the Covid-19 situation in every country and discussing special regulations, triggers to suspend or reschedule games, and future plans, domestic leagues representatives decided to continue the season without any emergency changes, because health protection is on a very high level in every league.
Even though the 2020-21 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague will be continued without a bubble or calendar modification, participants’ health protection is still the primary objective.
