Lacazette was born in Lyon on 28 May 1991 to a family of Guadeloupean origin.
As a child, he admired Thierry Henry, at the age of seven he found himself in the Lyon system, where he was brought up until the summer of 2010.
Lacazette gradually approached the first team of “weavers”. It was only in the 2012/13 season that the academy graduate became a solid base player and demonstrated that he has incredible potential.
And not in vain: Alexander burst into a series of goals, and in the 2016/17 draw he gained peak form – the Frenchman scored 37 accurate strikes, thanks to which he aroused interest from eminent giants. London’s Arsenal was considered the main contender: the Arsene Wenger factor was the main reason for moving to Foggy Albion.
As part of his native club, he played 275 matches, having recorded 129 goals and 43 assists. Awesome numbers!
