Wriddiman Prasanta Saha is an Indian international cricketer who plays for the Indian national cricket team and in first-class matches in Bengal. In fact, he is the first cricketer to score an entire century in an Indian Premier League final. Saha is a wicket-keeper batsman. Saha became the first Indian wicket-keeper to score a century both at home and outside Asia in 2017.
In February 2010, Saha made his debut as a batsman specialist. When he was given a permanent spot in India’s Test XI as wicket keeper, the controversy over his place heated up as he replaced the long-serving MS Dhoni, who had scored nearly 5,000 runs in Test cricket, averaging nearly 40.
Saha scored his maiden Test century in St. Lucia during the Caribbean tour; on that occasion, India, being put at bat, was on 126/5. Wriddhiman has played 23 Tests as India’s designated wicketkeeper and his batting numbers are favorable compared to some of India’s previous wickets.
