Vijay Shankar is an Indian cricketer , playing for the Indian national cricket team. He bowls an all-rounder, batting right-handed and bowling right-handed batting at an average pace.In April 2019, Vijay was selected for the team of India for the Cricket World Cup.
Vijay won two Man of the Match awards in the 2014-15 Ranji Cup knockout stage while playing for Tamil Nadu. In the quarterfinals against Vidarbha, he scored 111 and 82 points, for which he was named Man of the Match.
Shankar was named to India’s C-team for the 2018-19 Dedhar Trophy in October 2018. He was the top wicket-taker in the tournament, with seven dismissals in three matches. In November 2018, Shankar was an observer for his play in the run-up to the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy. In October 2019, he was called to the B team of India for the 2019-20 Dedhar Cup.
