Biography
Suresh Raina has been one of the best limited-overs batsmen and a great asset for the Indian cricket team. The player has hung his boots now but still commands respect among the fans and cricketing channels.
The cricketer made his place in cricket fans’ hearts by becoming the first Indian to score a hundred in all three game formats. The left-handed batsman was born on 27 November 1986 in Muradnagar, Uttar Pradesh. At the age of 14, he decided to play cricket and moved to Lucknow from his hometown.
When it comes to domestic, Raina is known as one of the most popular players of Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. In nine seasons of IPL, Raina has scored more than 400 runs for his team; that is why he is also known as Mr. IPL among the fans.
Raina was the second youngest captain of the Indian cricket team in 2010. Under the captaincy of this amazing player, India won the T20 series against Zimbabwe by 2-0. He married Priyanka Chaudhary on 3 April 2015. They have a daughter and a son named Garcia and Rio, respectively. Raina has started a foundation on the name of his daughter named as ‘Raina-Garcia Foundation’ that is handled by his wife, Priyanka.
