Sergio Cidoncha joined the local youth setup of Atletico Madrid and made his senior debut for them when he was playing for Atletico’s C team in the Spanish fourth division. After several outings for Atletico Madrid, he was promoted to join their reserves. He joined Jamshedpur FC before the 2018-19 Hero ISL season but had to miss a part of the season due to injury. After moving to Kerala Blasters FC for the 2019-20 campaign, Sergio made 13 appearances, scoring one goal and assisting three others.
