Phrangki Buam started his career with Royal Wahingdoh. He moved to Shillong Lajong and helped the side win the U-18 Youth League. Making his senior debut in the 2018/19 season of the Hero I-League, Buam scored six goals for Shillong Lajong, the highest for the club in that season. During the 2019-20 season, Buam went on to lead Shillong Lajong to the Shillong Premier League and Meghalaya State League, top-scoring for his side. Later during the season, he moved out on loan to Bengaluru United to play in the second Division League and gain more exposure. He has signed a three-year contract with the Gaurs ahead of Hero ISL 2020-21.
