Biography
Monu Kumar hails from Jharkhand, India, and popular for his ability to bowl consistently at the speed of 140 km/hr. Monu came into highlight when he played his first international match in the U-19 World Cup 2014. He took three wickets of Papua New Guinea and one wicket of England team in the next match. Despite being the fifth in the tournament, in the end, players like Monu Kumar showed potential for a promising career.
After representing the country at the international stage, Monu returned to India and played for his hometown Jharkhand in Ranji Trophy. He made his T20 debut in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and has played more than 13 T20s so far.
Due to his amazing performance in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he earned his place in MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings in 2018 for the price of 25 lakhs. He has played any IPL match yet but gained knowledge by practicing with legend players like MS Dhoni, Shane Watson, etc. He is ready to be deployed on the field in IPL 2020 will be held in the United Arab Emirates.
