Manish Krishnanand Pandey is an Indian international cricketer. He is representing Karnataka in domestic cricket and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL.He played as the opening batsman of his former IPL team, Royal Challengers Bangalore. Manish was the first Indian player to score a century in the IPL in the Indian Premier League in 2009.
Pandey was born on September 10, 1989, in Nainital, Uttarakhand, India, but moved to Bangalore at the age of 15 with his family. Anita Pandey (his sister) was also a ex-cricketer, representing Karnataka. Manish batting style is right-handed, bowling style right-arm medium.
He was selected to the Mumbai Indians’ squad for the 2008 Indian Premier League season. Manish was part of the home team Royal Challengers Bangalore in the semifinals of the 2009-10 season. He was then picked up by the Calcutta Knight Riders in 2014. Pandey was included in the top 10 scorers in 2 IPL seasons, in 2014 (401 runs in 16 games) and in 2017 (396 runs in 13 games). He was selected by Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018.
