Haryana Steelers and UP Yoddhas in one of the games of PKL happened in the past

Three sensational games are set to take place on Day 25 of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 9. The first game of the day will be played between Gujarat Giants and Bengal Warriors while the second match will include Tamil Thalaivas and Telugu Titans. The final encounter of the day will have Haryana Steelers and UP Yoddhas.

Both Gujarat and Bengal have won four matches so far and would like to improve their spot in the points table. This will be their tenth game and a win from here can take either side into the top five. The Warriors were having a superb Bengaluru leg before some tight games did not go in their favor.

The second battle between Tamil Thalaivas and Telugu Titans will be crucial for both teams because of their terrible show so far. The Thalaivas might have won their previous two battles, but the job is still not done for them.

On the other hand, the Titans have won just one match so far and are almost out of the tournament. They would like to be back on the winning track to show some signs of improvement in the dugout.

The last battle of the day will be an interesting one between Pardeep Narwal’s UP Yoddhas and coach Manpreet Singh’s Haryana Steelers. Both have tasted success with Patna Pirates in the past. Haryana is currently ahead with 26 points and is in the sixth position in the table whereas the Yoddhas are in the ninth spot with 24 points.

Let us take a look at the preview and predictions for the Day 25 matches:

Match 59: Gujarat Giants vs Bengal Warriors

Gujarat Giants under Ram Mehar Singh has been an average side so far with four wins.  Their last game against Patna Pirates proved to be a shocker for them as they lost the battle 28-34. The form of Parteek Dahiya and Mahendra Rajput are big positives for the team. However, Rinku Narwal and Co. have been facing issues with their defense which they have to sort out in the game against the Warriors.

Bengal Warriors, on the other hand, had a phenomenal tie against Tamil Thalaivas. It was just like a victory for a side like Thalaivas. Maninder Singh & Co. have lost four battles till now and some more defeats from here can ruin their chances of qualifying for the playoffs. The biggest positive for the side is the form of Deepak Niwas Hooda. Maninder too had a great outing against the Southern-based franchise.

Talking about their head-to-head battles, seven matches have taken place between the duos. Gujarat Giants have won on three occasions whereas Bengal Warriors have been victorious twice. So, a perfect chance for the Warriors to equalize the record.

Deepak Niwas Hooda failed dramatically in the Bengaluru leg and with the kind of performance he showed against Tamil Thailaivas, he would be the one to watch out for from the Warriors. From Gujarat Giants, Mahendra Rajput will be the man to look at in this battle. Though it is tough to predict the winner between the two, Bengal Warriors will be having a slight edge over the Giants.

Predicted Starting Seven

Gujarat Giants: Rakesh, Sourav Gulia, Arkam Shaikh, Parteek Dahiya, Mahendra Rajput, Shankar Gadai, Rinku Narwal (C)

Bengal Warriors: Maninder Singh (C), Vaibhav Garje, Balaji D, Deepak Hooda, Shrikant Jadhav, Shubham Shinde, Girish Maruti

Match 60: Tamil Thalaivas vs Telugu Titans

In a game of two of the weaker teams in the esteemed league, Tamil Thalaivas are set to take on Telugu Titans on Saturday. This could be a chance for the Titans to achieve their second victory after failing again and again. But keeping in mind Tamil’s two consecutive victories, this battle is not going to be easy for the Titans.

Telugu Titans fought well against U Mumba in their previous battle but fell short by 3 points in the end. Siddharth Desai turned back the clock by scoring 18 raid points to give some hope to his team. Defender Parvesh Bhainswal did his job as well with 8 points to his name. This must have increased the confidence in the Titans’ dugout.

Thalaivas, on the other hand, surprised everyone with a great game against Bengal Warriors that ended in a tie. Before that, victories in two consecutive battles have taken them to the tenth spot now. Those two victories were against two big teams: Jaipur Pink Panthers and Dabang Delhi.

Both Tamil Thalaivas and Telugu Titans have met 10 times in the past where Tamil won four times whereas Telugu Titans became victorious on five occasions. One match was a tied affair. If we talk about the key player in the game, then all eyes would on Narender from the Thalaivas.

He has been the lone warrior for the side so far and would like to give his best till the last game. From the Titans, Siddharth Desai will be crucial in this game. Talking about the winner, Tamil Thalaivas have a better chance of winning this important battle.

Predicted Starting Seven

Tamil Thalaivas: Narender, M. Abhishek, Mohit, Himanshu, Ajinkya Pawar, Sagar (C), Sahil Gulia

Telugu Titans: Abhishek Singh, Surjeet Singh (C), Parvesh Bhainswal, Adarsh T, Siddharth Desai, Vijay Kumar, Vishal Bharadwaj

Match 61: Haryana Steelers vs UP Yoddhas

This is going to be the biggest battle of the evening with two top teams set to face off against each other. Haryana must be high on confidence after beating the table-toppers Bengaluru Bulls in their previous clash while UP Yoddhas thrashed Telugu Titans in their last encounter and will face Puneri Paltan on November 4.

Talking about their head-to-head battles, both sides played against each other six times with Haryana Steelers winning three games while the Yoddhas won twice only. As usual, one match ended in a tie. In this crucial clash, Pardeep Narwal and Surender Gill will be in the spotlight from UP whereas Meetu Sharma will be on everyone’s list from Haryana Steelers.

Both UP and Haryana have played some superb Kabaddi in the past few games, therefore, it is quite difficult to predict the winner. But Haryana Steelers will be our pick for this game keeping in mind their remarkable victory over Bengaluru Bulls in their last match.

Predicted Starting Seven:

Haryana Steelers: Manjeet, Mohit Nandal, Jaideep Dahiya, Meetu Sharma, Rakesh Narwal, Amirhossain Bastami, Nitin Rawal

UP Yoddhas: Pardeep Narwal, Abozar Mighani, Ashu Singh, Surender Gill, Gurdeep, Nitesh Kumar, Sumit
