India to play friendlies against Oman and UAE in March

The Indian national football team is scheduled to play two friendlies in the month of March against teams like Oman and the UAE.

The Blue Tigers will travel to Dubai to play both matches. India will face Oman on 25th March while the match against the United Arab Emirates is scheduled for 29th March.

The Indian football team last played on the international stage when they played against Oman in Muscat. The squad would be looking to gain some match practice and increase the chemistry within the squad with one eye on the remaining FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifiers to be played against Qatar, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh.

  • Igor Stimac’s 40-men squad will travel to Dubai on 15th March and assemble in a preparatory camp which will help the head coach choose the squad for both the matches scheduled to be played in the ‘Middle East’.
  • The 40-men list of the squad traveling to Dubai will be released a bit closer to the preparatory camp date.
