The Delhi Capitals are a cricket team from the city of Delhi. The team plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Founded in 2008 as the Delhi Daredevils, the team is jointly owned by GMR Group and JSW Group. The team's home stadium is Arun Jaitley, located in New Delhi. The Capitals reached the IPL finals for the first time in 12 years in 2020, and reached the IPL playoffs for the first time in 7 years in 2019.The captain is Shreyas Iyer.
