United States of America vs South Africa: Preview and Prediction
Following the conclusion of the league round, the Super 8 stage of the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will kick-start with an encounter between the United States of America and South Africa. The two teams will clash against each other on Wednesday at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua.
The USA and South Africa form a part of Group 2 in the Super 8 round alongside England and West Indies. South Africa would be high on confidence as they are yet to lose a fixture in the ongoing tournament courtesy of their bowlers having emerged as the game-changers.

It was a thrilling encounter as South Africa faced a tough time while defending a score of 115 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Nepal almost made it to the winning side, but a stunning performance by Tabraiz Shamsi who picked four wickets helped Aiden Markram’s men continue the winning streak.
As far as the United States of America is concerned, they formed a part of Group A in the league stage and finished second in the points table after India with two wins, a loss, and an abandoned game. The USA defeated Canada and Pakistan in its first two games in a surprising turn of events.
Their only loss in the tournament so far came against India by seven wickets while the team’s most recent encounter against Ireland was washed out because of harsh weather conditions in Florida.

His knock included four boundaries and as many as ten maximums. The middle-order batter is expected to continue the carnage with the bat and help his team open their account in the Super 8 round.

Anrich Nortje (South Africa): South Africa has established itself as one of the best teams in the tournament so far as they are yet to lose a game and a lot of credit for the same goes to their bowling unit. While almost all the Proteas bowlers are in fine form, Anrich Nortje is the one leading in the records book.
He is currently the second-highest wicket-taker after Afghanistan’s Fazalhaq Farooqi with nine wickets to his name from just four league matches at an average of 7.78 and an even better economy rate of 4.38.
