Pakistan Cricket Board brings back its players from the Big Bash League (BBL) for the preparation of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 7.

PSL is set to begin from January 27 and PCB wants all its players to come back to the country for the PSL preparation. Leg-spinner Shadab Khan has already returned to its country while Haris Rauf, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hasnain are also coming back.

Big Bash League franchise Brisbane Heat were disappointed by Fakhar’s removal from BBL in the ongoing season. He could only play one match for Brisbane due to a combo of Covid-19 issues and travel restrictions between states in Australia. The franchise signed the Fakhar on December 31 as a replacement player for injured Englishman Tom Abell.

“Unfortunately the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed it had rescinded its permission for Fakhar to play our remaining games, along with all Pakistan players currently involved in the BBL, and summoned him to return immediately to prepare for the Pakistan Super League,”

Heat said in a statement.

“We are disappointed that he won’t be able to play for us and he is disappointed he won’t have the opportunity to get some more games in for us. He asked us to thank the fans for their support and wish the team all the best for the remaining three games.”

“We thank him for committing to come to Australia at short notice, and wish him all the best with his cricket going forward,”

he added.

However, the BBL franchise Melbourne Stars of Syed Faridoun and Ahmad Daniyal are also coming back to Pakistan.
