Kapil Dev underwent an angioplasty procedure, and is now on the road to recovery

Indian boxer Vijender Singh is now the latest in line to wish cricketing legend and cricket World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev a speedy recovery. Dev has undergone an angioplasty procedure and his family members told mediapersons that his condition has been improving.

For the uninitiated, Kapil Dev experienced discomfort on 22 October and was admitted to Fortis hospital near Delhi. He has now successfully undergone angioplasty and is on the road to recovery. Vijender Singh, joined millions of fans and celebrities in wishing the first world cup winning captain a speedy recovery.

At this juncture, it is worth noting that Kapil Dev is the only batsman in the history of test cricket to take more than 400 wickets and score in excess of 5000 runs. This feat is unparalleled for now.
