India’s tour to Australia; KL Rahul nominated as the Vice-Captain of Indian Men’s Cricket Team
The Indian right-handed batsman, KL Raul said, it is a very happy and proud moment for him to be selected as a vice-captain for team India in a limited-overs game in Australia.
KL Rahul to Lead from Front
The Indian wicketkeeper-batsman says he is very happy and confident to take the responsibility as a vice-captain in the white-ball game, starting from next month in Australia. The Indian selectors announced the squad for T20, ODI and test matches on Monday. KL Rahul got the opportunity considering his performances in the ongoing IPL as he is the top runs scorer so far. He also led KX1P into top 4 in the points table under his captaincy.
“It is a very happy and proud moment. I was not expecting it, but I am very happy. I am ready for responsibility and challenge and I will try to do my best for my team as much as I can,”
In the 12 games that he played for KX1P, he scored 595 runs with an average of 59.50 including a century and five fifties.
“I am looking forward to the coming tour but the next 2-3 weeks before that are very important. The next 2-3 months will be very important. I am thinking about one day at a time, not much forward at the moment.”

India and Australia will play three T20, three ODI’s and 4 test matches head to head. These matches will be included in the World Test Championship. They are currently in the first and second spots in WTC respectively.
