The teams will have seven days off before the third Test in Dharamsala (March 1-5) before a shorter turnaround leading into the final Test in Ahmedabad (March 9-13).
Australia’s tour of India will then conclude with three ODIs in Mumbai (March 17), Visakhapatnam (March 19), and Chennai (March 22) leading into the next season of the IPL.
This series will be preceded by shorter white-ball tasks for India, against Sri Lanka and New Zealand at the turn of the year. Sri Lanka will start their series on January 3 with three T20Is in Mumbai, Pune, and Rajkot before playing one-dayers in Guwahati, Kolkata, and Trivandrum.
New Zealand will begin their series on January 18 with three ODIs, the second of which will mark the international debut of the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. Ranchi, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad will play host to the three T20Is, with the series running until February 1.
