Biography

Pawan Negi is best known as a slow left-arm orthodox spinner who keeps the potential of hitting some incredible shots blows down the order. Pawan was the million-dollar player Indian Premier League 2016 auction. When it comes to the domestic level, he plays for Delhi and represents his state in 19 List-A matches where the player picked 25 wickets at an average of 21.48 and scored 187 runs.

Pawan Negi was born on 6 January 1993 in Delhi. His family belongs to Almora Uttarakhand but currently living in New Delhi, where the player was born and brought up.

Negi’s turning point came in 2016 when he proved his worth in the Indian Premier League and secured his place in top-buys of the IPL auctions. For 2016 IPL, Negi was picked by the Delhi Daredevils for 8.5 crores. However, it was not the first time when DD picked him as he has already played for Chennai Super Kings in 2012 and 2013, in which he used to open the bowling attack and bat coming lower down the order.

Negi’s eye-catching performance with CSK attracted the selectors, and he went on to play aT20 match for India in the 2016 Asia Cup. The player bowled three overs there and picked a crucial wicket for the team. After that, he was selected as India’s fourth spinner for T20 World Cup.
