Prince Harry has always been at war with the media since the time he & Meghan stepped down from their roles as senior members of the royal family. He is again news with a new & another most surprising update from life. It was announced on Wednesday that Prince Harry has joined a San Francisco based startup “BetterUp” as Chief Impact Officer. He will be involved with employee coaching mental health with the organization.
BetterUp works with employees from companies including Mars, AB InBev & Linkedin on coaching & mental health services. BetterUp CEO, Alexi Robichaux said
“Duke of Sussex is a good fit for the company because of his model of inspiration & impact through action”.
The next day, Harry was also confirmed as a commissioner on the Aspen Institute’s Commission on Information Disorder, a media-focused project at the well funded D.C. think tank.
The two gigs, as well as the previously announced deals for him and his wife Meghan with Spotify & Netflix, suggest that Harry’s plan for independence runs through Silicon Valley, the Beltway and Hollywood.
“The experience of today’s digital world has us inundated with an avalanche of misinformation, affecting our ability as individuals as well as societies to think clearly and truly understand the world we live in,”
Harry said in a statement.
“It’s my belief that this is a humanitarian issue — and as such, it demands a multi-stakeholder response from advocacy voices, members of the media, academic researchers, and both government and civil society leaders,”
he added.
Harry’s circumstances were unusual, his employment was always uncertain & not too familiar like other job titles on Linkedin. He was a part of British Military for 10 years, including two tours to Afghanistan & after that becoming senior member of the royal family & leaving it in 2020. His wife had a much more stable career as an actress & working with some big names in Hollywood.
