Biography

Kieron Pollard is known for his destructive batting around the globe. The player can destroy the strongest bowling line-up on his day. The right-handed batsman bats in the lower middle order for West Indies. Pollard is also popular for his fielding among West Indies, Mumbai Indians, and other club teams.

Pollard was raised by his single mother with two younger sisters. After spending initial days in poverty, he played for Trinidad and Tobago U-19 team in 2005 and got a call from the West Indies Under-19 team. In IPL 2010, the medium-pacer was bought by the Mumbai Indians. He performed well in the debut season while he could not give his best in the next two seasons. In 2013, Pollard returned with a bang and helped MI achieve his first title by scoring 420 runs.

Currently, Kieron is an integral part of the franchise who keeps the potential to win a match when the top-order fails to score. He made his ODI debut on 10 April 2007 against South Africa, where he scored ten runs off 17 balls and did not pick any wicket.

Pollard faced difficult times in his childhood days when his single-mother raised him with two younger sisters.                 Kieron tied the knot with Jenna Ali on 25 August 2012, who is a businesswoman.
