The UP Yoddha faced the Puneri Paltan in their eleventh game of the PKL 2021-22. The Yoddha raiders were on fire tonight against the Paltan side as both Surinder Gill and Pardeep Narwal bagged super ten’s at the end of the final whistle. UP will be on cloud nine with their ten-point win over the Puneri Paltan side.

Surinder was the star of the show tonight as the UP Yoddha raider picked up a total of twenty-one points in the game, helping his side over the finish line. Pardeep, on the other hand, played as an excellent support raider racking up ten points for his side.

On defense, skipper Nitesh Kumar was the best defender for the UP side as he picked up four points for his side, and was just well one point short of his thigh five. Ashu Singh and Shubham Kumar also looked decent throughout the match as the duo scored a cumulative total of five points.

On the other hand, Puneri Paltan had another disappointing game tonight as the side seemed to struggle in the defensive department. The Paltan had just six tackle points in the entire game, which was one of the key reasons for their defeat tonight. Aslam Inamdar once again was the best player for the Puneri Paltan side as the young all-rounder picked up sixteen points for his side.

Mohit Goyat supported Aslam throughout the game as the raider racked up a super ten, scoring thirteen points for his side, including two tackle points. Other than Aslam and Mohit, none of the Puneri Paltan players were able to impress with their performance tonight and Coach, Anup Kumar will have to think about if Puneri Paltan wishes to stay alive in the race for the playoffs.

The game started with very fast-paced action as raiders from both sides focused on scoring as much as they could for their side. Pardeep lit up the fuse with a super raid in the first five minutes of the game, but Puneri Paltan was quick enough to come back as they dealt the first all-out of the game on the Yoddhas in the final ten minutes of the first half.

The UP-based club did not take much longer to make a comeback as Surjeet Singh’s super raid turned the game in the favor of the Yoddha’s. After inflicting the first all-out on Puneri Paltan, the UP Yoddha side maintained their lead throughout the game until the final whistle.

With the win over Puneri Paltan, U.P. Yoddha has now climbed up to the fourth spot in the league standings with 33 points to their name in eleven appearances so far. Puneri Paltan hasn’t been able to live up to the expectations so far this season and is stuck at the tenth spot on the points table with just 21 points in ten appearances.
