Nitin Tomar is in action as he struggles to get past Jaideep and Mohit to score for the Puneri Paltan

The Haryana Steelers clashed against the Puneri Paltan in their eleventh game of the Pro Kabaddi League as the two sides went head-on desperate for a win against their opponents in the contest.

With the win over the Pune side, the Steelers now have 29 points to their side in eleven games with four wins, five ties, and two defeats to their name.

The Haryana-based franchise had sixteen tackle points in the entire game with both Jaideep and Mohit picking up High 5’s in the game. The duo was deadly tonight against the Paltan as no raider was able to get past the two defenders. Vikash Kandola, on the other hand, led the charge for the raiding department picking up eight points for his side.

Other than the skipper Vikas, none of the other raiders from the team were able to make a remarkable impact on the game as both Ashish and Meetu settled with two points each at the end of the final whistle.

Both sides were cautious early in the game, but the Haryana-based franchise was quick to increase the momentum as they started racking up points in the defense. The Paltan raider tried to pull the game back for their team but received no support from their fellow teammates who made too many mistakes in defense during the first half.

Haryana rode on their momentum from the first half and dealt an all-out on the Puneri Paltan, creating a five-point over their opponents in the final ten minutes of the game. The Haryana defenders made no mistake as they maintained their lead until the final whistle, earning their fourth win of the season.

The Pune side, on the other hand, will be disappointed with their performance as this was their seventh defeat of the season. The team is still stuck in the eleventh spot on the points table with just twenty-three points to their name. Coach Anup Kumar will have a lot to think about as none of his combinations have seemed to work for the team so far into the league.

With their upcoming game against the Patna Pirates, the Pune side will have to make a bullet-proof strategy to survive against their opponents on Saturday. The Pirates faced a last-minute defeat against Dabang Delhi and will be eager to reverse their fortunes.

The Steelers, on the other hand, will hope to ride the wave of momentum as they face the Dabang Delhi side in their upcoming game on Friday. Haryana has displayed that they can display a great performance in crucial situations and a win over the table-toppers is what exactly the team needs.
