Known as one of the best batsmen in Australia, especially in limited-overs cricket, wicketkeeper-batsman Joshua Phillppe is an upcoming talent ready to make a debut on the national side at any moment.
Josh was born on 1 Jun 1997 in Subiaco, Australia, to Steve Philippe and Leanne Philippe. Steve is a former cricketer and has coached the Women Australian Team from 2006 to 2011. Leanne is also a former cricketer who used to play as an opening batswoman for the Western Australian Team.
At the age of 13, the right-handed batsman was part of the Talented Athlete Program of Western Australia Cricket Association (WACA). The player has also played under 15s, 17s, 19s, and 23s age level cricket for Western Australia.
Josh had proved himself by showing his excellent wicket-keeping and batting skills in Big Bash League when he played for Sydney Sixers. Royal Challengers Bangalore has bought the young-talented player for Rs. 20 Lakh for Indian Premier League 2020.
In recent BBL, the player was the third-highest-run-getter of the tournament with 487 runs and also played a major role in guiding Sydney Sixers in their initial matches.
