Aaron Wan-Bssaka could be on the move this summer

Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been deemed surplus to requirements with the club having told other suitors that they are willing to listen to offers for him.

As per media reports in the UK, Wan-Bissaka and Williams were among those players who have been told to pursue new clubs as they do not feature in the plans of the new boss Erik ten Hag.

Meanwhile, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has returned for pre-season training and has been putting in the work hard and is determined to stay and fight for his place as he wants to continue with the club.

With Wan-Bissaka’s career at Manchester United apparently drawing to a close, we at Parimatch News take a look at five clubs that can sign the player.

#1 Leicester City

Leicester City needs to strengthen themselves defensively after having conceded the highest percentage of goals from set-pieces (34%) last season, the foxes also conceded the most number of goals from crosses (15).

The club already have a player in Timothy Castagne, who can play on both sides as a wing-back with Ricardo Pereira and James Justin predominantly seen playing as full-backs but in Wan-Bissaka, they can find someone who is strong in tackling and has good ball interception skills.

#2 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace has emerged as favorites to re-sign Wan-Bissaka who left for Manchester United in the summer of 2019. However, it is understood that the club is keener to have him on a season-long loan rather than sign him on a permanent basis. Like Leicester City, Palace too conceded a lot of goals from set-pieces (33%) last season.

Wan-Bissaka played in 42 Premier League games for the club and is an academy product and thus will take no time in settling at the club. The Eagles’ boss Patrick Vieira is keen on bringing a new right-back to bring in some competition for Nathaniel Clyne and Nathan Ferguson.

#3 Bournemouth

Wan-Bissaka impressed everyone in the 2018/19 PL season at Crystal Palace with his exceptional 1v1 defending and great tackling skills, which saw Manchester United come calling,

However, after three seasons, the player has fallen down the pecking order, despite that the player will be a good addition to Bournemouth who will want to improve their defense this time around in the Premier League.

Wan-Bissaka is a great tackler of the ball and his addition will help the newly-promoted side who will need to be wary despite having a good defensive record in the Championship last season. Usually, Top defensive performances in the championship don’t necessarily translate into clean sheets in the Premier League.

#4 Atletico Madrid

Wan-Bissaka’s style of play has been deemed more defensive, something that might suit Atletico Madrid’s style of play

For Atletico Madrid, a right-back has been a priority this summer, with the side being linked to a host of players, but unable to tie them down. In Aaron Wan-Bissaka, the Rojiblancos can find an experienced campaigner in the squad.

With Kieran Trippier’s move to Newcastle United in the January transfer window (2022), the right-back position has weakened, and the Los Colchoneros are working on signing a new prospect and are hoping to get one sooner rather than later.

#5 Brentford

Brentford secured a remarkable 13th place finish last season but needed to further strengthen themselves if they are to replicate such form. In Aaron Wan-Bissaka, they can find themselves an undisputed first-choice right-back.

Last season, Brentford on several occasions deputed right-winger Sergi Canos to play in the right wing-back position, but his defensive abilities were questioned on numerous occasions before the club turned to club-record signing Kristoffer Ajer to play as a right-back.

Brentford is known to play high-intensity football and that too is something that will suit Wan-Bissaka’s style of play with the player having spent three seasons at Manchester United.
