RoundGlass Punjab FC has signed a quartet of players to kick-start their preparations for the 2020-21 I-League season.

The Warriors have signed Spanish midfielder Joseba Beitia, Bhutanese forward Chencho Gyeltshen, energetic forward Sumeet Passi, and the experience-rich Bikramjit Singh.

The star Spanish midfielder Joseba Beitia was part of the Mohun Bagan squad that lifted the title in the 2019-20 I-League season. Beitia provided 9 assists, most in the league during the curtailed season helping the Kolkata giants lift the I-League trophy and contributed with three crucial goals as well.

The highest scorer in the I-League last season, Dipanda Dicka has moved from Punjab FC to Real Kashmir FC during the off-season but no official statement has been released by either club regarding the future of the star striker. The signing of Chencho Gyeltshen has all but confirmed the departure of Dicka from the club.

The young Bhutanese striker has impressed thus far in his limited outings in India made for Minerva Punjab FC, Bengaluru FC, NEROCA FC, and Mohun Bagan and would be looking to become a household name in the I-League as he has the big boots of Dicka to fill in at his new club.

Joining from Jamshedpur FC, Sumeet Passi joined the ISL club ahead of the 2017-18 season and made a total of 30 appearances for the Red Steels in his three-year stay at the club, not even clocking a total of 1800 minutes on the field. The 26-year old would be hoping to become a mainstay in the Punjab FC playing XI during the upcoming season.

Bikramjit Singh likes to play at the base of the midfield and will be a key midfield enforcer for the Ludhiana-based club in the 2020-21 I-League season. The 27-year old has 44 appearances for Mohun Bagan and has a ton of Indian Super League experience as well as he has turned out a combined 60 times in the Indian Super League for FC Goa, ATK, Chennaiyin FC, and Odisha FC as well.

After both Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan and East Bengal joined the Indian Super League, the I-League clubs have a major opportunity to stamp their dominance over the new-look league. Punjab FC along with Gokulam Kerala, Real Kashmir, and Chennai City are the strongest contenders to win the league in the upcoming season.

Earlier this year, RoundGlass completely took over Punjab FC parting ways with former part-owner Ranjit Bajaj and the club has now decided to strengthen their squad and will possibly make more additions ahead of a crucial season in the I-League.
