Borussia are steadily making improvements in their game, and the recent form enhancements of key players puts Black and Whites in the status of the favorites. For example, Alassane Pléa (2+1) took part in 3 goals in one match for the first time since May 2020. The same number of times he helped to capitalize for the club in the previous 24 rounds. Two midfielders Franck Honorat and Julian Weigl gained good form, giving the team more confidence in the midfield. The nearest rival is at the bottom of the standings with a long winless streak. We can safely call the Carnivalers one of the weakest teams in the Bundesliga at the moment. Inexpressive results of Mainz largely come from the slack game in the defence. The team has already conceded 17 goals, only two clubs in the championship have a worse similar indicator. And away in the Bundesliga Bo Svensson’s men have conceded at least two goals in six consecutive matches. Looks really depressing.

There is a high percentage of probability that Gladbachians can prolong the trend. The clubs are in different functional readiness, and Mainz will not create any insurmountable obstacles for the hosts (the Carnivalers have lost all three away games in the current campaign).
