The 19th match of the IPL 2020, played at the Dubai International Stadium, witnessed a match filled with thrill and gusto when Delhi Capitals came victorious over the Royal Challengers Bangalore. DC gave a target of 197 runs, but RCB could only make 137 and lost the match by 59 runs.

Kagiso Rabada took four wickets and tipped the match in favor of Delhi capitals. Marcus Stoinis’s bat made DC reach 196/4.

RCB won the toss, and the captain Virat Kohli elected to field. The DC openers Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan, gave a good start to the team. Prithvi Shaw welcomed Isuru Udana’s delivery with a four and opened with a clear boundary. With a balanced partnership, they were steadily moving ahead with back to fack fours, and they took the score over 50 by the fifth over. Mohammed Siraj ended the partnership by taking out Prithvi shaw, and soon Shikhar Dhawan met with the same fate. Later Marcus Stoinis and Rishabh Pant threw in some big shots and faced the scoreboard. Rishab got dismissed on 37 off 25 balls. In the last overs, Shimron Hetmyer and Marcus Stoinis smacked some good boundaries and made a total score of 196/4 after 20 overs.

Chasing the target of 197 runs, Aaron Finch and Devdutt Padikkal came to open for RCB. Finch got some more time when Rabada dropped a catch. Before the third over, R Ashwin dismissed Devdutt Padikkal, and soon Finch was also sent back. Virat Kholi and AB de Villiers tried to push the score, but Anrich Nortje got rid of de Villiers. Moeen Ali was removed quickly with 11 runs, RCB lost its captain Kohli on 43 runs off 39 balls. Washington Sunder struggled to cover the leap, and in the last overs, Kagiso Rabada took three wickets, and RCB ended on 137/9.

The bowlers of Delhi Capitals stole the match, and Marcus Stoinis’s unbeatable half-century made DC victorious.
