IPL 2020, CSK VS. KXIP Highlights: Openers Shane Watson and Faf du Plessis Crushed KXIP in Dubai.

Dubai International Stadium, on Sunday, witnessed a record-making match when Chennai Super Kings beat Kings XI Punjab by ten wickets and 14 balls to spare. Both the openers brought their A-game and presented an unbeatable opening partnership of 181 runs.

After a string of losses, CSK registered a smashing win against KXIP and moved up on the IPL 2020 points table.

CSK overcame the stream of 3 losses by demolishing KXIP on Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. KXIP, winning the toss, chose to bat first. The openers KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal gave a good start with some fantastic boundaries in between. They were in good form and took the score near 50 in the powerplay, and within eight overs, they were past 60. Things were going smooth, but then Piyush Chawla took the first wicket for CSK on the first delivery of the 9th over and knocked out Mayank for 26. Mandeep Singh came on the field to bat and made a 33 run partnership with KL Rahul, Including two sixes off Chawala. He was then dismissed before the team could reach 100 for 27 off 16 balls. Nicholas Pooran and Kl Rahul then continued to surge the score with a series of boundaries, and KXIP ended with a total score of 178.

Chasing the target of 178 runs, Watson and Faf went all out and took the score beyond 100 in just ten overs. The openers were brutal in their chase and set the record for the highest opening partnership for CSK. They completed their half-centuries in the 11th over with Watson taking 31 and du Plessis taking 33 deliveries. With their power-packed performances, Watson (83*) and Faf da Plessis (87*) gave CSK the much-needed win.

CSK seemed not affected by the series of losses and registered a smashing come-back win.
