RR

On Monday, Rajasthan Royals came victorious over Chennai Super Kings by seven wickets. Batting first, CSK set 126 runs target, which RR chased down successfully in 17.3 overs. Jos Buttler, with his unbeaten 70 off 48 balls, remains the top scorer for RR. With an overall performance, RR registered a comfortable win over the three-time champions CSK.

Jos Buttler and Steve Smith helped RR reach the 5th spot on points tables.

Winning the toss, captain Dhoni elected to bat and sent Faf du Plessis and Sam Curran to open. CSK suffered a big loss when Jos Buttler took an amazing catch, and Jofra Archer made the first breakthrough by dismissing du Plessis. Too soon, Shane Watson was sent back for eight runs. With the efforts of Sam Curran and Ambati Rayudu, CSK moved past 50. RR took out both the batsmen, leaving Dhoni and Jadeja on the field. The partnership lasted long enough to take the scoreboard beyond 100 before Dhoni got run-out for 28 runs. Ravindra Jadeja and Kedar Jadhav added some scores in the last overs, and CSK ended on 125/5.

Chasing the 126 runs target, RR did not get a good start losing the openers Ben Stokes and Robin Uthappa in the initial overs. MS Dhoni caught a brilliant catch behind the stumps and dismissed Sanju Samson for zero. Jos Buttler and Steve Smith took the team out of the trauma of early losses with some incredible strokes. Jos Buttler completed his fifty in the 11th over. With back-to-back boundaries and incredible gameplay, the duo didn’t look back and conquered the target in 17.3 overs and registered a win for RR with seven wickets in hand.

RR bowlers did an incredible job limiting the Men-in-yellow to a modest score of 125/5, and the batsmen completed the job in 17.3 overs with seven wickets in hand.
