Haris Rauf and Mohammad Nawaz’s brilliance with the ball helped Pakistan to beat England in a cliffhanger fourth T20I in Karachi to level the series by 2-2, with the final three games to be played in Lahore.

Chasing a below-par total of 167, England was reduced to 14/3 after Mohamad Hasnain bagged two wickets in his first over. After then, Harry Brook and Moeen Ali put a solid 49-run stand before they were dismissed in quick succession.
David Willey and Liam Dawson then put a brief stand before the former lost his wicket to Haris Rauf. With England requiring 34 runs off the final three overs, Liam Dawson hit four boundaries and a maximum to steal the game for England.
However, Haris Rauf had other plans as he dismissed Dawson and Olly Stone off consecutive deliveries to swing the tides in Pakistan’s favour.
In the final over, Reece Topley was run-out by Shan Masood off Mohammad Wasim Jr’s delivery, turning the National Stadium into madness.
Earlier, England won the toss and opted to bowl first. Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam started the innings quite brilliantly with Rizwan hitting 88 off 67 balls but England restricted Pakistan to the below-par total of 166/4 in 20 overs.
Although, Rizwan gave a flying start in the powerplay but could not do justice with his innings as he was dismissed in the final over the innings.
Babar scored a 27-ball 36 before getting caught at deep midwicket off Liam Dawson’s delivery. Shan Masood who played a brilliant inning in his last match could not find his way through as he only managed to score 21 off 19 balls before getting dismissed by David Willey.
Reece Topley picked up Khushdil Shah and Rizwan off consecutive deliveries before Asif Ali smashed two maximums in three balls to give Pakistan a decent total.

“Amazing game of cricket, cthe rowd were electric for all four games here. We felt like we should have chased that down, disappointed that we didn’t. Daws had a brilliant game, sad for him he couldn’t get us over the line, but these things happen. Pressure happens, and they bowled really well.”
