The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are at the bottom of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 standings after their first three games after a series of disappointing results. Above all, the absence of a key player played a role in the fall of their stick; some were injured.

However, franchise CEO Kasi Viswanathan has given positive news that Ambati Rayudu and Dwayne Bravo return ahead of the team’s next game against Sunrises Hyderabad (SRH).

Ambati Rayudu was the Chennai Super Kings star when the 2020 Indian Premier League season opened against the Mumbai Indians. The right-handed batsman scored 71 points on 48 balls as he helped his team clinch a total of 163. Rayudu was named player of the game for his performance.

He played an epic shot in the game against the Mumbai Indians but missed the next 2 games with a hamstring injury, and his absence was felt when the three-time champions lost their two games against the Rajasthan Royals and the Capitals of Delhi.

CSK CEO KS Viswanathan said:

“Rayudu has recovered well from a hamstring strain and will play in the next game. He ran and sprinted during training and hit the nets without any discomfort.”

The other player missing from Chennai Super Kings is the versatile Dwayne Bravo. The Windies cricketer has been treating a knee injury since the 2020 Caribbean Premier League final and has not appeared in any games. While Sam Curran has done well for the team in Bravo’s absence, CSK fans have been eagerly awaiting the veteran keeper’s return.

Viswanathan says “He played well at the net and add that CSK, who has lost their last two games, will come back in their next game. We will do it again.”
