AB de Villiers rules as RCB crushes KKR by 82 runs

AB de Villiers bat leading the team, and the bowlers finishing the job, registered a legendary win for RCB. In the Match no 28 on the Sharjah cricket stadium grounds, RCB gave an impressive target of 195 runs and did a splendid job in knocking KKR all out on 112/9 and won by 82 runs.

RCB dominated KKR in all aspects and limited them from cracking their third consecutive win. AB de Villiers was in form and presented the class he is and knocked an incredible unbeaten 73 off just 33 balls. RCB Batting first, Aaron Finch and Devdutt Padikkal opened and gave the team a promising start. The duo took the score beyond 60 before Andre Russell dismissed Devdutt Padikkal for 32 off 23 balls. The soon, Prasidh Krishna sent Aaron Finch back with 47 runs off 37 balls. Captain Kohli and AB de Villiers joined forces and were in the mood to heat things, and they did the same. The openers set a strong base, and the unbeaten partnership of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers guided the team to a total of 194 runs.

Chasing the 195 runs target, KKR fell before Kohli’s men as they sent them packing on 112/9. Shubman Gill and Tom Banton came on the field to start the run chase. RCB got an early breakthrough as Navdeep Saini dismissed Tom Banton for eight runs. Nitish Rana joined Shubam but was sent back with a meager nine runs when Washington Sundar clean bowled him. Shubham Gill’s innings ended with a run-out for 34 runs, and Dinesh Karthik got knocked out with just one run. KKR under immense pressure, meanwhile Washington Sunder strikes again, and this time he took out Eoin Morgan handing out a simple catch to Isuru Udana. Efforts of Andre Russell, Pat Cummins, and Rahul Tripathi couldn’t make much difference, and KKR lost the match by 82 runs.
