Ainsley Maitland-Niles was born in Croydon, England in 1997. Prefers to play mostly as a central midfielder or winger, and sometimes RB. Currently playing in the Premier League for the Arsenal.

England`s treasure youngster started playing for the first team in 2014, after making a very strong impression in Arsenal’s Youth Academy. Joined Arsenal at six years old, he made his debut in the first team at the age of 17 against Galatasaray in the Champions League, in which he replaced Aaron Ramsey in HT. It was what you can call a good start of his promising career, since they won with 4-1. After that he became the second youngest footballer who ever played for Arsenal in the Champions League (after Jacky Wilshere, former Arsenal player).

He went on loan to Ipswich Town in the season 2015/2016. He gained a lot of match experience by playing 30 games in one season.

After that he returned to Arsenal, and proved himself as a first team player in the last season of Arsène Wenger. He appeared 28 times  that season.

This led to big satisfaction of Arsenal’s board, and they offered him a long term contract in the summer of 2018. The Gunners’ new coach Emery showed confidence and trust in the young midfielder putting him in start from the beginning. However, he would have been replaced after only 35 minutes because he suffered a broken leg.

After injury Niles showed decent seasons as Arsenal player improving his game skills under Arteta as well. The true Gunner could go to Wolves or some other teams in the summer transfer window, but he managed to stay.

Since 2014, Ainsley played for the England youth teams. In 2017, together with the England U20 national team, he became the champion at the World Youth Championship. In 2020 he started for the senior national team of England.

His FIFA 21 card has rating of 76.
