Vinit Rai’s footballing career started in Assam. He was roped in by the Tata Football Academy at the age of 13 and after graduating, earned his first professional contract with Dempo SC. He was picked up by Kerala Blasters for Hero ISL 2016. He was then loaned out to Minerva Punjab FC for I-League 2017 and a move to Delhi Dynamos FC followed. The central midfielder hit the ground running and was brilliant for the Delhi team. He has since been a key member of the franchise and will look to continue his fine form with the club in the 2020-21 season.
