DC adds two more points to the list of the points table after chasing a huge 196 against PBKS by six wickets and ten balls to spare at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Sunday.

Shikhar Dhawan’s thrilling 92 powered DC to chase down 196 against PBKS with six wickets at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Sunday.

Dhawan played a 49 ball knock followed by 13 fours and 2 sixes. Dhawan was joined by Prithvi Shaw (32 off 15) first up and then skipper Rishabh Pant (15) and Marcus Stoinis (27 not out) to chase 196 in 18.2 overs.

PBKS, after losing the toss and being asked to bat first, put up a 100 runs stand to put up a half-century challenging total of 195/ 4 in the allotted overs.

Mayank Agarwal 69 (36) and KL Rahul 61 (51) played a great combination to put PBKS in the driving seat.

Chasing 196, Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw shared 59 (33) runs opening stand for DC.

Shaw 32 (17) continued striking with the ball until Arshdeep Singh, caught by Chris Gayle.

Steve Smith played the first match for DC and looked out of colour as Riley Meredith picked him up cheaply.

Wickets continue to fall but Dhawan was going unharmed as he completed his half-century in 31 balls. Dhawan continued striking and he struck gold in the 14th over after hitting 18 in Meredith’s over.

Playing unstoppable, Dhawan fell short of his brilliant ton with 8 runs as Jhye Richardson picked him up in the 16th over. Marcus Stoinis then picked up the remains of Dhawan alongside Lalit Yadav to score the winning runs with 10 balls to spare.

Earlier today, Rishabh Pant’s decision of bowling first did not work great as PBKS openers took on the DC bowling attack.

The duo played with the same pace against the debutant Lukman Meriwala and Kagiso Rabada, to take PBKS to 94/0 in 10 overs.

DC finally struck back to get back in the game after Meriwala picked up Agarwal when he sliced to sweeper cover straight into the hands of Dhawan. Right after that, Rahul gave a simple catch to Stoinis off Kagiso Rabada.

Universal boss, Chris Gayle (11) dismissed soon while looking for big. Nicholas Pooran (9) also failed to put any impact but Deepak Hooda 22* (13) and Shah Rukh Khan’s 15*(5) took PBKS towards 195 in 20 overs.
