T20 cricket is a lot about innovation as well as it is about throwing up surprises to the opposition camp. Teams do anything and everything within their powers as well as routes to ensure that they carry on what they have been trying to do as well as be innovative enough to surprise the opposition with their quirky decisions or even some peculiar acts on the field.

In the match number four of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 tournament between arch rivals Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals, the young Indian cricketer Riyan Parag surprised one and all when he bowled a very peculiar delivery which has time and again ignited debates about how much can a bowler bend the rules, or in this case bend his arm.

Yes, you read it right. After former Sri Lanka and Mumbai Indians passcode Lasith Malinga continued to trouble batsmen around the world with his slingy, quick action at the crease that would hold the ball at a great speed and variation at the batsmen, came along India all-rounder Kedar Jadhav who would use the slingy action to his benefit in order to contain feel the opposition batsmen in several of the matches that he played during the middle-overs.

Something similar was seen on Monday night at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai when in order to stop the onslaught from Punjab Kings batsmen, Rajasthan captain Sanju Samson decided to bring on Parag to bowling duties.

Farah came up with a messy surprise when he bowled a delivery to West Indies and Punjab Kings batsman Chris Gayle what is bowling on, the right on almost parallel to the ground. In the commentary box, former Australia cricketer Michael Slater even quipped if Parag had bowled an underarm delivery.

Punjab Kings did extremely well in the opening match against Rajasthan Royals, reaching 221/6 in their 20 overs to record the first-ever total in excess of 200 in this IPL.
